Final:
Pakistan's Farhan Mehboob justified his top seed billing in the Jena Real Estate Championship, but disappointed the local crowd when he beat Kuwaiti hero Abdullah Almezayen in today's final of the $10,000 PSA World Tour event in Hawally, Kuwait.

The 21-year-old from Peshawar (pictured receiving his trophy) reached the final without dropping a game – and faced surprise opponent Almezayen, the sixth seed who despatched two higher-ranked players to make it to the climax.

Mehboob, ranked 47 in the world, was unable to maintain his straight games run in the event – but the Pakistani ultimately held off the challenge of the promising Kuwaiti, ranked more than 70 places below, to win 11-6, 11-9, 8-11, 11-5 in 50 minutes.

The win marks Mehboob's first PSA Tour title triumph of the year – but the third of his career.
