In the presence of Sheikh Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah –Governor of Mubarak Al Kabeer province , officially anounced The open ceremony for H.H the patriarch Amir Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah Trophy – Squash (Kuwait Open Tournament) which took place in Sheikh Salem Al Sabah Complex . The ceremony was attended by Sheikha Latifa al-Fahad, wife of Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah.
The official opening ceremony started with National Anthem and then recitation of verses of Holy Quran , On the Big screen achievements of liberation hero, Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, The father, was praised with achievements of His Highness. Then
Sheikha Fadia Al Sabah-President of Managing Committee started her speech by praising the State of Kuwait, the land of patriotism, which hosts this memorable sports event. She also thanked the Kuwaiti leadership Specially for securing the success of the tournament, then gave President of the International Federation of Pakistani squash Jahangir Khan in which he praised the great efforts made to get the Tournament as honourable and the success of the Tournament , along with the speech Major General Dr.Mahmoud G.Razouki Tournament Director spoke about the hard work to make this tournament a grand success , with the speech of Hussain A. Maqseed , vice president . After that, laser & sound system were used to introduce the top 10 players.
The Open ceremony was a great success .
