The countdown of H.H the patriarch Amir Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah Trophy – Squash (Kuwait Open Tournament) has started and the tournament is reaching its final stages. The qualification round will start on 21st & 22nd , the open ceremony and main draw matches will start on 23rd April 2008.
All Committee members preparations for this global event have reached the final completion stage . The event will take place in Late Sheikh Salem Al Sabah Squash Complex (South Surra Area) in which 65 professional squash players will participate, which will see the flame of Champions competitions in the Squash world.
Ali Al Randi – General Manager of Qadsia Squash said : All the preparations have been completed and the Organizing Committee continues day night for the success of this event distinctive ,since the name H.H the patriarch Amir Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah Trophy – Squash (Kuwait Open Tournament), who helped the development of sport and support to all Kuwait youth, The fingerprints will remain entrenched in our minds.
Ali Al Randi expects that this tournament will be exciting and powerful among all participants who represent Squash world, he said that the tournament and in the light of preparations «succeeded before the start».
Mohammed Yaqoub – Kuwait National Team Player said: I am ready to enter the Gulf Championship competitions and seeks to achieve a good result for Kuwait, I am really Sad for not participating H.H the patriarch Amir Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah Tophy – Squash (Kuwait Open Tournament) because of the Gulf Squash Tournament and I hope my colleagues will get a chance to participate in Kuwait Open Tournament and wish them the best.
