Sheikha Fadia Al Sabah-President Managing Committee of H.H The patriarch Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah Trophy – Squash (Kuwait Open Tournament)attended a meeting with Jahangir Khan President of the International Federation of squash, Major General Dr.Mahmoud G.Razouki Tournament Director , Hussein Maqseed – Chairman of Kuwait Squash Federation . and Maj. Gen. Saber Sweidan . The focus of this meeting to discuss the future strategy for Kuwaiti Players which will participate in the qualification round .Perhaps what has been achieved in the recent Asian championship, hosted by Kuwait, which claimed the title of Kuwaiti heroes a starting point that must be achieved under Sheikha Fadia Al Sabah-President Managing Committee and the committee members.
Major General Dr.Mahmoud G.Razouki Tournament Director said:This tournament is in the name of H.H The patriarch Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah Trophy – Squash (Kuwait Open Tournament), The name means a lot to us and we have put much effort to achieve a great success ,hopes and aspirations for a brighter future provided that acts working mechanisms of the strategy adopted by the Sheikha Fadia Al Sabah-President Managing Committee and to keep the bridge communication persists Intergenerational representing Kuwait.
Major General Dr.Mahmoud G.Razouki :The main outline of this strategy the participation of the private sector and its contribution is vital in supporting the individual games including squash, we in the Higher Committee for the organization of the tournament, we have insisted on upgrading squash game and access to global , especially the great achievements of the player in the Asian Cup for the first time. The support for the players foundations from the private sector will succeed, pointing out that we have younger elements in Kuwait and experience high, Kuwait able to reach high levels if there is proper planning and deliberate. He added, we have no objection that we draw on the expertise of international and global goals to be achieved and put the name of Kuwait on the map of world squash, as well as the rest of the games. We have discussed with Sheikha Fadia Al Sabah all the ideas and have consulted with us on the support of these ideas would require a series of meetings. Major General Dr.Mahmoud G.Razouki explained the preparations are intensively for the start of the Kuwait Open Tournament , He said that all committees continue day and night to complete the work, confirming that the work had been completed by 90% the start of this global event is on 21st April 2008 and the official opening ceremony on 23 April. 65 players from the professional level in the World Squash, 8 kuwaiti players: Abdullah Mezayen, Ali Ramzi , Nasser Ramzi , Falah Fayez, Salem Fayaz, Muhammad Yaqub, Hisham Saber and Badr Al-Husseini.
